COFFIN CAROUSEL is a metal band founded 2012 in Melbourne Australia originally as a side project conceived by the ‘OG of Creepy Cool’ Howard Von Noise (Diamond Noir, Hatchet Dawn, The Symbiosist) until it became fully activated in 2015.
COFFIN CAROUSEL is your haunted chainsaw ride to an un-compromised dark metal-horror textured musical experience. The bands journey evolves with the arrival of a forth full-length self-titled album that will be released on 13th October 2023, stacked with fourteen heavy hitting tracks fortifying COFFIN CAROUSEL into the metal music realm with an upheaval in the primal assault of the bands signature style rooted in horror punk, now leaping into death-black metal sludge riffs, aggressively blackened catchy vocals layered over an evolved heaviness of percussion assault.
Mixed by Julian Renzo (Jack The Stripper, Be’Lakor, Blackhelm) at Legion Studio Productions in Melbourne, and mastered by Alan Douches (Misfits, Hire On Fire, Mastodon) at West West Side Music in New York, Coffin Carousel self-titled fourth full length album expels beyond the penetrating lyrical ride of COFFIN CAROUSEL's albums Face Melting Chunky Stuff [2019] and Order Of The Bat [2022] to new an ever more distinct plateau after the distinct debut full length album Between Death & Dead [2017] sojourn the hectic horror-filled world of COFFIN CAROUSEL mixed by Grammy-award winning producer Neil Kernon (Exhumed, Cannibal Corpse, Nile), and mastered by Alan Douches.
The new self-titled album follows in the interim wake of COFFIN CAROUSEL's 2022 LP Order Of The Bat, which refined song compositions to the likeness of monster adrenaline burning sludge metal fusion focused to showcase an overall progressing heavier sonic production.
Considering that since the launch of the debut EP Fiend [2015] they’ve opened for the likes of Misfits [2015], Wednesday 13 [2018] and for Michael Graves (ex-Misfits) [2018] solo Australian tour. COFFIN CAROUSEL certainly has an unrepentant attitude and passion for metal music and dedication to challenging the art of original heavy music song writing and organic band performance music production.
The self-titled fourth album will be unleashed on Friday 13 October 2023 with a music video for the opening track ‘War of Roses’ showcasing that this album is by no means a repeat of formulas from its three predecessors.
